She was predeceased by : her grandparents, James Henry Lindsey, Alma B. Lindsey, Earl Clifton Snow and Elzie W. Snow; her parents, Lemmie James Lindsey and Lotus Amelia Snow Lindsey; her former life partners, Turner William "Billy" Norman, Jr. and Marvin Dixon; and her close friends, Patsy Threadgill and Kay Sumner.

She is survived by : her brother Michael J. Lindsey; her son Prof. Neil L. Norman; her daughter-in-law Hope Taylor Norman; her grandchildren, William J. R. Norman and Treva L. Norman; and her husband C. Donaree O'Briant.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Social Hall at Saint Anne's Episcopal Church (2411 Central Ave, Tifton, GA 31794). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Saint Anne's Episcopal Church (2411 Central Ave, Tifton, GA 31794).
