She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas and Gussie Flourney Thomas; her son Danny Lee Hinchey; and her son-in-law James Russell. She is survived by: her children, Kathy Russell of Bristol, TN, Pat O'Dell (Russell) of Greenville, TN, Donna Collins of Bristol, VA, John Hinchey, Jr. (Brooke) of Bristol, TN and Teddy Hinchey (Sherry) of Abingdon, VA; her siblings, Louise Wyatt of Abingdon, VA and Herbert Thomas of North Carolina; and her sister-in-law Peggy Hinchey of Abingdon, VA. She is also survived by six grandchildren and their spouses and children; and numerous nieces and nephews.

“To the dear hinchey family, my family and i would like to express our sincere condolences on the loss of your sweet mother, lucille. I remember lucille used to watch my brother and me until mom got home from work. She used to give us a big square of a saltine cracker slathered in peanut butter for a snack and boy was it good! We have a lot of good memories playing softball, freeze tag and hide and seek at their house. We are so blessed to have had lucille in our lives! Love, danita wagner rhett”
