She was predeceased by : her parents, Samuel Cornett and Amanda Vannoy Cornett; her husband Charles William Sweet; her son William Michael Sweet; her siblings, Paul Cornett, Henry Cornett, Margaret McCready, Lucille Evans, Martha Lee Bellamy and Grace Wingard; and her son-in-law Phil Minnick.

She is survived by : her daughter Jill Sweet Minnick; and her close friends, Josh, Natalie, Daylin, Peyton and A. J. Linkous. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church, 136 East Main Street, Abingdon, VA 24210, in Mrs. Sweet's name.
