She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lawrence Bucklen and Thelma Kathleen'Faye'Cole Bucklen; her sister Betty Carol Bucklen; and her nephews, Johnny Ervin Mullins and Jimmy Dewayne Mullins.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Compton (LeTonya) of Pounding Mill, VA and Elisha Elledge of Abingdon, VA; her grandchildren, Jessica Ann Compton Dinger (Jesse) of Pounding Mill, VA, Joshua Compton of Pounding Mill, VA, Sarah Compton of Pounding Mill and Cain Elledge of Abingdon, VA; her great grandchild Levi Stone of Pounding Mill, VA; and her sister Wanda Hicks of Cedar Bluff.
