It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michele Gorman Strickler (Abingdon, Virginia), born in Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on January 19, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Chalmers Jerome Gorman, Sr. and Bonnie Kate Gorman (Calhoun); and her son David Kent Moyers. She is survived by: her husband Guy William Strickler, Jr.; her children, Alayna Perry, Margaret Peggy Skyles (Billy), Pamela Trotter (Joel), Robin Michele Mullins (Todd) and Christopher Guy Strickler; her brother Chalmers Jerome Gorman, Jr. (Sonja); her daughter-in-law Ruthann Moyers; and her sister Kathy Joyce (Bobby). She is also survived by niece and nephew, several cousins, and a host of many many friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to First Christian Church (185 Jonesboro Road Abingdon, VA 24210).
