With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nellie Blanche Moretz (Abingdon, Virginia), born in Clinchburg, Virginia, who passed away on July 11, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Gale Holmes; her husband Bobby L. Moretz; her son Steven McCracken, Sr.; her grandsons, Ryan McCracken, Henry Belcher and Alex McCracken; and her siblings, Gene, Cecil, Gerald Holmes and Geneva Campbell.
She is survived by: her children, Brian McCracken of Bristol, VA, David McCracken of Glade Spring, VA and Donna Mitchell (Randall) of Bristol, VA; her stepdaughters, Tonnie Mason (Shawn) of Knoxville, TN and Anja Lee Moretz of Jefferson City, TN; her grandchildren, Brandon, Nikita, Lindsey, Christopher, Steven, Nathan, Amanda, Ashlynn, Alonna, Elliott, Arianna, Allison, Abigail and Ben; her sisters-in-law, Geneva Repass and Peggy Holmes; and her close friend Judy Jessee. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Freewill Baptist Church, 1741 Euclid Ave, Bristol, VA 24201, in Mrs. Moretz's name.
