He was predeceased by: his parents, Ulla Vinton and Mamie Ida Sturgill; and his wife Eva Sturgill. He is survived by: his son Nickey Sturgill; his granddaughter Ashley Johnson (Aaron); his great grandchildren, Jace and Reid Johnson; and his nieces, Ann and Lisa.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Beulah Baptist Church (19126 Monroe Rd, Meadowview, VA 24361).
