He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Dean Ferrell Ramey; his sons, Gary Ramey (Tammy), Greg Ramey and Kevin Ramey; his daughter-in-law Renea Ramey; his sister Mary Elizabeth Norman; his grandsons, Gary Cooper, Ryan Ramey (Shannon), Cannan Ramey and Grant Ramey; and his great grandchildren, Ava Cooper, Taylor Collier, Addison Collier, Hudson Collier, Joshua Ramey and Hadley Brooke Ramey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1999, Memphis, TN 38101.
