He is survived by: his wife Faye Cook; his children, Evelyn Ashby (Steve) and Robert "Bobby" Cook, Jr.; his siblings, Benjamin, Frank Cook, Shirley Johnson and Linda Spiva (Ern); and his grandchildren, April Benton, Stephen Ashby (Kellie), Scott Ashby (Stephanie), Madison, Haille, Gavin, Easton, Teagan and Tanner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
