He was predeceased by: his parents, Brad Jackson and Alice Jackson; his brothers, Gary Jackson and Rodney Jackson; and his stepdaughter Brenda Carrol.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Ruth Spiva Jackson; his daughter Jennifer Jackson; and his siblings, Joseph Jackson, Preston Jackson, Frances Counts and Elizabeth "Liz" Pakacki. He is also survived by several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
