It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosie Helen Ward of Abingdon, Virginia, born in Glade Spring, Virginia, who passed away on April 15, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Marvin Monroe Vannoy; and her husband Lloyd Alven "Avie" Ward. She is survived by: her children, Lynn Gilbert (David Gilbert) of Tazewell and David Ward (Tammy Ward) of Elkview, WV; her grandchildren, Michelle Ward Bare (Joseph Bare), Sharon Navarre, Brian Navarre (Ashley Navarre) and Rachel Ward (Presley Ward); and her siblings, Joy Kirker, Hazel Canfield, Maggie Campbell (Dennis) and Willie Vannoy. She is also survived by five great grandsons; one step great granddaughter.
