With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sharon Everhart Cahill (Abingdon, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2025 at the age of 75. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sharon Everhart Cahill to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. William Eugene Cahill, Sr.; and her parents, Henry Everhart and Pauline Everhart. She is survived by: her sons, William E. "Gene" Cahill (Maria) and Charles Wesley Cahill; her grandchildren, Elise (John Oliver), James, Olivia, Ansley, Jack, William Eugene III, Sophia and Maggie; her sisters, Robin Brickey (Preston) and Peggy Farris; and her siblings-in-law, Dee Dee Boyd (Bo) and James Cahill. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Shady Grove United Methodist Church (329 Whites Mill Rd, Abingdon, VA 24210). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
