She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter E. Deyerle and Eva Rutherford Deyerle; her husband Robert May; her son David D. May; her son-in-law Byrd Trigg Preston, Jr.; and her siblings, Joyce Matchett, Faye Sechrist, June Thomas Fisher, Walter Deyerle and Ira Deyerle.
She is survived by: her daughter Suzanne Preston of Abingdon, VA; her daughter-in-law Karen May; her sisters, Laverne Deyerle of Salem, VA and Pat Turner of Lynchburg, VA; her grandchildren, Adam May, Elizabeth May, Brad May (Candice) and Rachel Nelson (Josh); her great grandchildren, Aiden, Liam, Gavin and Beckett; and her stepgrandchildren, Randi Preston and Ronnie Preston. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
