It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Riley Westrick of Abingdon, Virginia, born in Tazewell, Virginia, who passed away on December 31, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William A. Riley and Lorene Compton Riley; her husband Joseph Herman Westrick; her daughter Anetta Ann Hamm; her grandson Randy Hamm; her sisters, Cora Ray Phillips and Betty Jane Hunt; and her daughter-in-law Cristal Blevins Hamm.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Walter Hamm, Jr., Shirley May Parsons (Steven), Betty Jane Perry (Jay) and Nicole Hall; and her siblings, Roger Riley, Jimmy Riley, Carl Riley (Shirley), Ernie Riley, David Riley (Pebbles), Ruby Self and Annie Cannon. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
