Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Stella Ruth Pennington (Abingdon, Virginia), who passed away at the age of 84, on May 15, 2026. She was predeceased by: her parents, Grace Morgan and Dorling C. Chitwood; her husband Jerry Pennington; her son Jerry Dee Pennington; her son-in-law Kenny Rouse; her siblings, Betty Rosencrans and Cecil Chitwood; and her close friend Marie Sexton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vickie Crenshaw (Shayne) and Connie Reynolds; her grandsons, Derek, Dustin and Matthew Rouse; her great grandchild Aubrey Rouse (Stella "Tiny Toes"); her sister Carol Tucker (Thomas (Conroe Texas)); and her caregivers, Lynda Thomas, Sharon Doss and Dana Ward. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM.
