Susan Lewis of Abingdon, Virginia passed away on July 1, 2026. Susan, born on May 15, 1961, shared life alongside family, friends, and others. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Bailey and Emily Bailey; her grandson Matthew Lewis; and her close friend Penny Avery (Phillips). She is survived by: her children, Maggie Stanfill (Chase) and Matthew Lewis (April); her grandchildren, Bryson Carter, Taylor Stanfill, Bella Lewis, Kailey Hoosier, Atlanta Meade, Sara Grace King, Logan Meade and Clara Meade; and her friends, Mary Munsey, Judy Gearing (Martin), Joyce Smith, Teresa Gilmer (Collins), Sue Woods and Carolynn Cornett. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Highlands Ballet Company, where her grandchildren dance, and/or the John Battle Band Booster Program, two organizations that held a special place in Susan's heart.
