Thomas Michael Ferrell Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on July 20, 2023, at the age of 68, Thomas Michael Ferrell of Abingdon, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Ferrell and Dorothy Carmichael Ferrell; his aunt Mary Carmichael; his uncle Thomas F. Ferrell; his father-in-law Herman E. Compton; and his brother-in-law Joe C. Street.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Compton Ferrell; his mother-in-law Irene Compton; his children, Sarah Souter (Tom) of Charlottesville and Spencer Ferrell (Meghin) of Charlottesville; and his grandsons, Owen and Reid Souter of Charlottesville, Virginia..
Prior to the pandemic, Mike spent decades of free time joyfully serving Abingdon United Methodist Church, wearing many hats over the years, including Sunday School teacher, handbell choir member, and the congregation's most enthusiastic unofficial greeter, to name a few.
