It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Scott of Abingdon, Virginia, born in Washington, Virginia, who passed away on October 14, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Campbell Jessie Wise and Lula Bell Gobble Wise; her former husband James Counts; and her siblings, Ruby Tignor, Doris Testerman, Retha Mae Scott, Maynard Wise and Jake Wise.

She is survived by: her husband Grocery; her children, Gary Scott (Donna) of Abingdon, Jimmy Scott (Kathy) of Abingdon, Debra Moore (Perry) of Abingdon and Tammy Blevins (Wade) of Chilhowie; and her siblings, Sue Nickels (Nick) of Newport News, Peggy Pickle (Kermit) of Landrum, SC, Shirley Dale (Carl Jack) of Abingdon, Mike Wise (Lois) of Abingdon, Bobby Wise (Sandra) of Abingdon, Jimmy Wise (JoAnn) of Abingdon and Richard Wise (Phyllis) of Abingdon. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
