He was predeceased by: his father Wallace E. Smith, Sr.; and his brother-in-law Ronald Yeatts. He is survived by: his wife Betty Sue Smith (Yeatts); his daughter Renee Smith Richmond; his son-in-law Jim Richmond; his granddaughter Ainsley Richmond; his brother Tim Smith (Danny Trenor); and his siblings-in-law, John Yeatts (Marie) and JoAnn Yeatts. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
