It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Walter E. Hylton (Abingdon, Virginia), born in Willis, Virginia, who passed away on January 25, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Luther Hylton and Maggie Bishop Hylton; and his brothers, Junior Hylton, John Hylton and Bill Hylton.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene Large Hylton; his children, Sherry Allen (Tom) of St. Paul, VA, Paula Abernathy (Jason) of Piney Flats, TN, Kristina Graham (Walt) of Abingdon, VA and Russell Mullins (Pam) of St. Paul, VA; his sister Polly Murphy of Abs Valley, VA; and his grandchildren, Dylan Allen, Derek Allen (Shaina), Mandi Hylton, Seth Hylton, Peyton Abernathy, Maggie Graham, Wesley Graham, Walter "Wade" Graham, Drew Mullins (Anna) and Mallory Mullins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with COVID-19 regulations, all those attending services are asked to wear face coverings and follow social distancing guidelines.
