She was predeceased by: her parents, Arvey Pennington and Katrina Pennington; her brother Jimmy Pennington; and her grandson Ben Mink. She is survived by: her husband Gary Ben Hayes; her daughters, Tina Mink (Curtis) of Abingdon, VA, Amy Callahan (Craig) of Clearwater, FL and Selina Rhoten (Alex) of Damascus, VA; her brother Nelson Hart (Sheilah); her grandchildren, Chris Blevins (Justine) of Konnarock, VA, Emily Blevins of Bristol, VA and Tanner Phillips (Emily) of Chilhowie, VA; her great grandchildren, Caden, Carley Blevins, Harper Reisler, Benjamin and Oliver Phillips; and her friends, Angela Trivett, Chris and Kristy Hickman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Azen Missionary Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
