He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Lee and Frances Crump; and his brothers, Edward and Robert. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Schoenherr-Crump; his children, Carol Joyce Paine (Scott) of Tampa, Florida, Geneele Crump of Elkhart, Indiana, Laurance Crump (Sherilyn) of Goshen, Indiana, Tracy McNeill (Jeffrey) of Bristol and Todd Schoenherr (Lisa) of Ridgefield, CT.; his caregiver Donna Hale; and his niece Julie Leenknegt (Leonard Smith). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church (136 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210).
