He was predeceased by: his wife Ellen Love Sproles; and his parents, Earl Craft Sproles and Glennie Pence Kirk Sproles. He is survived by: his children, Kirk Sproles (Traci) of Abingdon, Susan Sproles of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania and Peggy Cox Barnett of Concord; his grandchildren, Jessica Smyth, Jonathan Barnett and Raven Childers; and his caregiver Jill. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers or memorial gifts, the family requests that donations be made in Bill's honor to either Pleasant View Methodist Church, 18416 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24210, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
