She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd R. Custis Sr. and Ethel M. Custis; her husband Harold L. Johnston; and her son Floyd. She is survived by: her siblings, Connie, Linda, Scotty and Tommy; her daughters, Debra and Virginia; her grandchildren, Lori, Jessica and Ben; and her great grandchildren, Logan, Juliana, Jaxon and Jay.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Thornton Funeral Home (24183 Chadbourne St, Parksley, VA 23421). A burial was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Edgehill Cemetery (24355 Joynes Neck Rd, Accomac, VA 23301).
