She is survived by: her husband Cornell Wharton, Sr.; her stepchildren, Rhonda Strand (Nelson Jr.) and Cornell Wharton, Jr. (Shenay); her stepgrandchildren, Dentelle Trader (Ceylon), Sterling Savage-Austin, Kylen and Kayla Wharton; and her friend Agnes Johnson.
