It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Douglas (Accomac, Virginia), who passed away on January 9, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Bell and Mary Finney; her son Abbradeem West; and her siblings, Mary Finney Bloxom and Henry Thomas Dennis.
She is survived by: her husband Roy Lee Douglas, Sr.; her sons, Faheem Finney of Roanoke Rapids, NC, William West of Paterson, NJ, George West of Accomac, VA and Charles Major of Paterson, NJ; her stepchildren, Roy Douglas, Jr. and Dana Douglas; her sisters, Sara Corbin (Cornelius), Phyllis Garvin, Hallie Christopher (Dalton), Ineta McLaughlin, Doretha West and Lovone Bell; her siblings-in-law, Richard Douglas (Brenda) and Sylvia Page; her niece Mary Grace Kellam; her nephew Darris White (Mirella); her caregiver Donald Veney; and her close friends, Bland of Accomac, VA, Edward Pettit of Baltimore, MD, Mary Alston of Paterson, NJ, Gloria Lewis of Paterson, NJ and Patricia McMillian of Paterson, NJ. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren.
