She was predeceased by: her parents, Laura Nock (Knox) and Filmore Nock; her husband George Meador; and her siblings, Walter, Brantley, Elbert Nock, Helen Nock George, Maggie Nock Chandler and Stella Nock Bagwell.
She is survived by: her nieces, Inez Evans of Bronx, NY and Marguerite C. Veney of Dover, DE; and her niece-in-law Viola Chandler of Roselle, NJ. She is also survived by grand and great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Jerleane's Funeral Service (24497 Mary N Smith Rd, Accomac, VA 23301). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Gaskins Chapel A. M. E. Church (26211 Savageville Rd, Onancock, VA 23417).
