He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis James Bailey, Sr. and Catherine Bailey; his brother Phillip Bailey; and his wife Jacqueline A. Bailey. He is survived by: his children, Darrell Copes, Sr. of Parksley, VA, Anthony Evans (Keisha), Tanisha Haggins of Camden, NJ, LaKeisa Bailey Brown of Parksley, VA and Lameka Bailey of Parksley, VA; his niece Kristen Haggins; his siblings, Beverly James (Anthony), Paulette Allen, Gregory Bailey, Kenneth Bailey and Richard Bailey (Michelle); his aunts and uncles, Betty Lou Savage, Mary Ann Bailey, Tyrone Bailey (Julie) and Perry Bailey (Frances); and his close friend Thelma Watson. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, other nieces, nephews, family members, friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Jerleane's Funeral Service (24497 Mary N Smith Rd, Accomac, VA 23301). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
