She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Sessoms and Vandelia Reid; her son William Richard Duffy, Jr.; and her sisters, Bessie Mae Reid, Carylon Reid Clark and Martha H. Green.
She is survived by: her husband William R. Duffy, Sr.; her children, Tauriello Duffy, Lamont Duffy, Ke'Shawn Duffy and Kendrick Duffy; her sisters, Ellen White, Rose Savage, Keva Reid and Betty Brag; and her close friends, Gloria Fletcher, Shadrieta Whitney, Yvonne Haggins and Connie Finnie. She is also survived by fourteen loving grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
