He was predeceased by: his parents, Reon Savage and Eula Strand Johnson; and his wife Shirley Ann Strand. He is survived by: his daughters, Sheila Strand and Angela Mattis; his grandchildren, Darrell Logan, Djuana Strand and Ebony Chambers; his siblings, Florine Giddings of Onancock, VA, Barbara Joynes of Onancock, VA, Pearl Smith of Paterson, NJ, Clinton Strand (Jeanette) of Onancock, VA, Stanford Strand of Onancock, VA and George Strand (Linda) of Columbia, MD; and his uncles, Wendell West and Irvin West. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
