He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Douglas and Lenoria Strand; his stepson Abbadeen West; and his nephew Richard Douglas, III. He is survived by: his wife Irene Finney; his children, Roy Lee Douglas, Jr. and Dana Douglas; his grandchildren, Aaron Kelly and Amir Ali; his great grandchildren, Aliya Kelly and Adrian Kelly; his siblings, Richard Douglas (Brenda) and Sylvia Page; his stepsons, Faheem Finney, George West, William West and Charles Major; his sisters-in-law, Sara Corbin (Cornelius), Phyllis Garvin, Hallie Christopher (Dalton), Ineta McLaughlin, Doretha West and Lavone Bell; his nephew Darris White (Mirella); his caregiver Donald Veney; and his close friend William Bailey. He is also survived by great-nephews, great-nieces, other relatives, and friends.
