She is survived by: her brothers, Dossie Jacobs of New York, NY and Elize Jacobs (Delores); her children, Wanda Harmanson (George), Charmaine Lewis, Bruce Lewis, Gardenia Hargis (Anthony), Kenny Lewis (Crystal), Maxine Marshall, Kenya Strand, Heather Carey and Tara Holden; her grandchildren, Allen Jacobs, Darrell Lewis (Kimberly), Craig Lewis, Dontrell Lewis (Shantell), Chanita Lewis-Watson (Lamont), Cornelius "Neil" Lewis, Tierra Holden, Durrell Hargis (Alisha), TyQuisha Hinmon, Michael Lewis, Kendra Lewis and Kendall Lewis; her close friends, Arlene Fisher, Delores Crippen, Mamie Bibbins, Ellen Bowser, Dorothy Rice and Gail Milburn; her niece Jane Hargraves; and her cousins, Pam Milbourne, Janelle Hughes-Bowmer, Mary Summers and Bill Mae. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Jerleane's Funeral Service (24497 Mary N Smith Rd, Accomac, VA 23301). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Arcadia Middle School (29485 Horsey Rd, Oak Hall, VA 23416).
