He is survived by: his wife Donna Rodes of Afton; his children, Mariah Rodes of Afton and Brandon McGann; his daughter-in-law Liz; his grandchildren, Shade, Adalyn and Ridge McGann of Charlottesville; his siblings, Pamela Brent (Cynthia) of Hampton, Michael Rodes (Vicki) of Afton and Wes Grant of North Carolina; his brother-in-law Darrell Fitzgerald (Robin) of Roseland; his extended family, Jimmy, Diane Carter, Rebecca Carter Fitzgerald, Scott, Cooper and Brett; and his pets, Dexter, Daisy, Pumpkin and Shadow. He is also survived by niece, several nephews and many lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Beech Grove Christian Church (1207 Beech Grove Rd, Roseland, VA 22967). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
