She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Nichols Dunn and Esther Carver Dunn of Roxboro, NC.. She is survived by: her husband Austin Watson "Watt" Lafoon; her children, Kimberly Lafoon Barbour and Austin Dunn Lafoon (Jessica); and her grandchildren, Chancellor Austin Barbour and Austin Walker Lafoon. She is also survived by extended family, countless friends, and the many "extra" children.
