He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Darrell Smarte and Thelma Lee Larrimore (Smith). He is survived by: his wife Lynn Coleman Smarte; his children, Christopher Lee Smarte, Caitlin, Thuy Nguyen and James; his grandchildren, Amelia Marie Smarte, Benjamin Henning Smarte and Nina Autumn Lucas; and his siblings, Randy Larrimore, Cathy, Dale Larrimore, Pat, Betsey Godfrey and Pep. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
