He was predeceased by: his parents, Hite Hartless, Sr. and Elizabeth Gordon Hartless; his wife Dorothy; his son-in-law H. O. Sandridge; and his siblings, William, Mitchel Hartless, Bernice Silvia and Helen Riley.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Sandridge of Greenville, Gary (Bernice) of Blountville, TN, Allirea (Ron) of Clarksville, TN, Dwayne (Shari) of Advance, NC and Tim (Cindy) of South Riding, VA; and his sister-in-law Jacqueline Thompson of Raphine. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
