It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Joseph Rooney Jr. (Aldie, Virginia), born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 24, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, John Joseph Rooney and Dora Clexton; his siblings, Clexton, Theodora (Pippy) and Barbara; his wife Ellen Marie Chambers; his children, Charlie, Bill, Jane and Terry; his children-in-law, Luz, Cindy, Mike and Shaun; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Katie, Claire, Caden, Dan, Michael, Erin, Jack and Milly. He was also cherished by his many nephews and nieces.
