Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Bede Alphonsus Bender of Alexandria, Virginia, born in Spangler, Pennsylvania, who passed away at the age of 87, on September 23, 2024. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bede Bender and Naomi Bender; his sisters, Patricia Bentivegna and Lois Termena; and his brothers-in-law, Bernard Termena (Bud) and Joseph Bentivegna.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Catherine Bender; his children, Anita Martin (Greg), Christopher Bender (Kim) and Matthew Bender (Wendy); his grandchildren, Jessica, Gregory, Trisha, Braxton, McKenzie, Alyk, Nikolai, Moriah and Arianna; his great grandchildren, Isabella, Luca, Oakley, Zeryk and Malikhai; and his sister Suzi McDonald (Joseph). He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Thomas'. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory (1655 27th St, Vero Beach, FL 32960). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
