He was predeceased by: his parents, Bede Bender and Naomi Bender; his sisters, Patricia Bentivegna and Lois Termena; and his brothers-in-law, Bernard Termena (Bud) and Joseph Bentivegna.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Catherine Bender; his children, Anita Martin (Greg), Christopher Bender (Kim) and Matthew Bender (Wendy); his grandchildren, Jessica, Gregory, Trisha, Braxton, McKenzie, Alyk, Nikolai, Moriah and Arianna; his great grandchildren, Isabella, Luca, Oakley, Zeryk and Malikhai; and his sister Suzi McDonald (Joseph). He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
