She is survived by: her husband Jon Greenbaum; her son Nathan; her parents, George Shorago and Kayleen Newmark; and her siblings, Alisa Shorago, Sandi Shorago and Danny Shorago.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in Dena's name to Communication First, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting and advancing the civil rights of those who cannot rely on speech alone to be heard and understood.
