He is survived by: his brother John William Welch, Jr.; his significant other Mari Lynn Welch (Perry) of Spotsylvania, Virginia; his son John Allyn Welch of Arlington, Virginia; his father John William Welch, Sr. of College Station, Texas.; and his goddaughters, Lily and Emma.
