She is survived by: her husband Nelson Whitman of Pittsburgh; her children, Frances Ostendorf (Bill), Harriet Dunkerley (John) and Bernard Whitman (Constantin Mitides); her grandchildren, James Ostendorf (Ashley), Sally Ferrell (Patrick), Zachary Whitman and Rosella Dunkerley; her great grandchildren, Ella, Sophia, Olivia, Noah Ostendorf and Lillian Ferrell; and her brother Walter Rice (Bonnie). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
