Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Windish and James L Windish; his wife Rita T. Windish; and his granddaughter Jane Windish. He is survived by: his friend Betty Baker; and his children, Kathryn (Thomas), James S (Pam), Carolyn (Peter) and John (Kathleen). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 1401 Belle Haven Rd, Alexandria, VA 22307.
