We bid farewell to John R. Thompson Jr. of Alexandria, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 31, 2026 at the age of 75. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Robert Thompson and Edith Hamilton Hart Thompson; his wife Bonnie Huyett Thompson; his son John Merritt Thompson; and his siblings, James Hamilton Thompson (Cynthia Anderson Thompson) and Sallie Thompson Bryant (Stuart Bryant). He was also cherished by children, grandchildren, and numerous cousins.
