She was predeceased by: her spouse Vasil Simmons (Bill); and her parents, Charles Ducas and Anna Ducas. She is survived by: her children, Nancy Burke (Dennis), Mark Simmons (Tracey) and Lauren Simmons (Judah Epstein); her grandchildren, Garrett Burke, David Burke and Casey Simmons; and her sibling's children, Charles Ducas (Valerie), Christopher Ducas (Tisha) and Maryellen Kurkulos.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the National Funeral Home (7482 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, VA 22042).
A special thank you goes out to her caregivers, Jannet Gubatan and Linda Narantes, who tended to Kathy during her final years in her battle with Parkinson's. They were a godsend.
