She was predeceased by: her spouse Vasil Simmons (Bill); and her parents, Charles Ducas and Anna Ducas. She is survived by: her children, Nancy Burke (Dennis), Mark Simmons (Tracey) and Lauren Simmons (Judah Epstein); her grandchildren, Garrett Burke, David Burke and Casey Simmons; her nephews, Charles Ducas (Valerie) and Christopher Ducas (Tisha); and her niece Maryellen Kurkulos.
A special thank you goes out to her caregivers, Jannet Gubatan and Linda Narantes, who tended to Kathy during her final years in her battle with Parkinson's. They were a godsend.
