He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Carpenter and Marianne Carpenter; and his sister Ines Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Carpenter; his children, Christopher, Patrick and Catherine; his sister Mary Gavigan of Lovettsville, VA; and his pets, Duncan, Guinness and Cash. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
