We are sad to announce that, on March 22, 2026, at the age of 85, Leland C. Komich (Alexandria, Virginia), born in Rockland, Maine passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brother Norm (Lee); his sister-in-law Joy Komich; his nephew Johnathan Komich (Tegan Barson); Kyla and Jackson Komich.
He is survived by: his friend Robert Mason; his wife Gray; his daughters, Carolyn (Jason Hare) and Carla (Steve Moody); his grandsons, Michael, James Hare, Owen and Connor Moody; his cousin Michael; Komich Kottage.
To make a memorial donation one may write a check to the Ia Drang Scholarship Fund, noting in the "for" line in memory of Lee Komich and mail to First Cavalry Division Association, 302 N Main St, Copperas Cove, TX 76522. Instead of flowers the family would appreciate live plants that will live on as will their fond memories of Lee.
