She is survived by: her children, Paul A. Popernack Jr. of Gaithersburg and Stefanie Alicea (Esteban) of Alexandria; her grandchildren, Stephen Alicea, Lina Popernack and Christopher Popernack; and her sister Bernadine Krause of Brunswick, Ohio..
