She was predeceased by: her parents, William Modery (Bill) and Mary (Sroka). She is survived by: her husband Anthony Carbonello (Tony); her children, Christine Thompson (Mark) of Daytona Beach, Diane Stiger (David) of Arlington and Robert Carbonello (Amanda) of Blacksburg, Virginia.; her grandchildren, Alexander Thompson (Audrey Charlwood), Jennifer Thompson, Jill Thompson (Martin Wester) and Michael Carbonello; her great grandchild William Wester; and her sisters, Sandra Greiner (John) of Erie and Barbara Sekely (Ken) of Jacksonville. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Girl Scouts of the Nation's Capital, the American Cancer Society, or the American Heart Association.
