He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Willie Howard and Beatrice Bryant Evans; wife: Maria Kathryn D'Elia Evans; sons: John Evans (Glenda) and Michael Evans (Claudia); daughters: Ronnie Evans Jones (Mike Shockley) and Rebecca Evans Maser (Mark); grandchildren: Johnathan Evans, Kathryn Maser, David Evans, and William Maser; sister: Carolyn Evans Daniels; sisters-in-law: Marie Evans and Kathryn D'Elia Seltman (Charles); sisters: Marjorie Anne (John) Bradner and Virginia Evans; brothers: David "Pete" (Nancye) Evans and Henry Evans; and many treasured friends, neighbors, loved ones, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 9:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church (8710 Mount Vernon Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22309). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Quantico National Cemetery (18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172-1636).
