She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lewis and Ella J. Lewis; her children, Melvin, Gayle and David; and her grandson Darrell Ward.
She is survived by: her husband Alfred Ward; her children, Karen Ward, Barbara Ward, Dale Ward (Debra), Alvin Ward, Patricia Ward and Gladys Green (Andre); and her daughter-in-law Sarah Ward. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
